A simple, fun behavior.
Here’s a simple way to exercise your dog in a small space: Calisthenics—which Larry and Gail demonstrate. Once your dog knows both cues for both sit and down, you can easily do this fun activity. You’ll notice that we use the cue “sit up” rather than “sit” to differentiate between the two physical actions: “sit up” uses the front legs, while “sit” means lower your rear. Of course you can use any cues you want – just be consistent.
